Documentary on HOME

This 20-minute documentary offers an intimate glimpse into the creation of HOME, a performance developed by Theatre Madam Bach as part of the Small Size Network's Wide Eyes Project. Over four years, 17 children’s theatres across Europe came together to exchange insights and practices, pushing the boundaries of stage arts for young audiences.

World Images in Shanghai

On children & growth

During the pandemic, Theatre Madam Bach invited Caspar Addyman (UK), developmental psychologist and former director of InfantLab at Goldsmiths University to an online conversation about children and growth. The conversation grows from selected topics from Theatre Madam Bach’s piece GROW, and revolves around children’s perception of time, the relation between children’s physical growth and growing minds – and why growing skills is the secret to happiness!

Mapping Publications

From 2018 to 2022, we participated in Mapping, an EU-funded initiative to map the aesthetics of performing arts for early years. This collaborative project brought together 18 partners from 17 European countries, resulting in 4 exhibitions, 16 new productions (including our performance You Are Here), and 6 in-depth research books on early years theatre.
